Leicester Fire & Rescue Service select Atomic A3s for their innovative road safety education experience

14 October 2021

Leicester Fire & Rescue Service today launched The Hazard Express, a forward thinking education experience designed to educate drivers and help reduce the numbers of those killed or seriously injured in road accidents.

The Hazard Express incorporates 6 Atomic A3s, along with 360 VR to allow participants to experience realistic traffic scenarios, to highlight the dangers of what is termed the fatal 4 – speeding, using a mobile device, not wearing a seatbelt, drink & drug driving.

Delta Kinetic & Blueflame Digital fitted the van, integrating a PC and comms system to allow one operator to launch any one of 6 new individual learning experiences, with scenarios which raise awareness of cyclists, pedestrians, motorbikes and horses.  The Atomic A3s were completed by Delta Kinetic with space saving footrests, VR headsets and bespoke seats to provide a slick looking mobile unit.

Atomic Motion Systems and Blueflame Digital announce commercial launch of Actuate Motion Software

5 November 2018

Atomic Motion Systems and Blueflame Digital, a specialist developer of training software, have today released to the market Actuate Motion, a next generation motion software, to support Atomic’s A-series motion simulators.

James Milne, MD of Atomic Motion Systems, said “since 2010, our Simphynity software has been a pivotal part of the A-series’ success, providing the link between the software game and the simulator.   The VR market is changing rapidly and, in order to respond to the growing range of technology and ever ambitious projects of our customers, we have partnered with a professional software house to deliver a motion software that will set the standard for simulation in the years to come and provide users of our A-series simulators with an intuitive, adaptable and customisable system.”

Dan Hatch, Director at Blueflame Digital, and the architect of Actuate Motion said “we first used the Atomic A3 in 2016 and developed our own interface to support our driver training programme.  Since then, the rapid expansion of VR and motion simulators has lead to a demand for a modern 64 bit plug-in architecture, one that can respond to the exciting and innovative uses of motion VR.  Actuate Motion is the result of Blueflame and Atomic’s combined experience and delivers a software that fulfils the stringent criteria of the software content creator, as well as the simplicity required by a VR Arcade or home game player.  I am looking forward to supporting Atomic’s customers with this exciting venture”.

Atomic Motion Systems Signs Manufacturing License Agreement with Talon Simulations

15 May 2017

Atomic Motion Systems and Talon Simulations, the distributor of Atomic Motion Systems’ products in North America since October 2015, have entered into an agreement to begin the manufacturing of Atomic’s flagship A3 simulator in the US, to service the North and South American markets.

James Milne, MD of Atomic Motion Systems, said “this is a natural evolution of our partnership with Talon, who have been distributing the A3 in North America for 19 months. From an efficiency perspective, it makes sense to expand our manufacturing base, but we were only ready to do this once we found a partner like Talon, who have the expertise to replicate the manufacturing quality of the patented A3 simulator.”
